A pavilion with its own postcode
An established garden with the classic Bryanston problem: the best spot on the property — a raised brick plinth with steps, cycads and lawn all around — had no reason to be used after eleven in the morning.
Now it does. A freestanding charcoal pavilion stands on the plinth, solid panels over the centre and louvres at the edges, anchored to its own footings. It reads like it was part of the original landscaping, which is exactly the brief we were given.
